Sunshine After Rain —

For the past 10 months we have been incredibly privileged to have Ragen Chastain (aka Dances With Fat) blogging for us here at Fierce, Freethinking Fatties. As her incredible blog has exploded in popularity and her inspirational story in greater demand, she has achieved a level of success that makes the time commitment to write for FFFs increasingly difficult.

The feisty dancer, choreographer, writer, speaker, CEO, movie star, and rad fatty, we are thrilled that Ragen is reaching a broader audience with her message of self-acceptance and the diversity of health. As both a powerful roll model and intellectual powerhouse, Ragen is poised to blaze trails for Size Acceptance that will reach a broader audience hungry for her positive outlook and motivational prowess.

Whether she’s standing up to the low standards of belching dancers, challenging the Vague Future Health Threat, tearing down anti-HAES talking points, or uplifting the oppressed fat athlete, Ragen’s no nonsense, inspirational writing has made Fierce, Freethinking Fatties a better place.

She embodies the very essence of the Fierce Fatty, challenging our assumptions about health, praising the unsung heroes,  daring to promote obesity, and dismantling the fallacy of the “real woman.”

And ever ready with the enlightening analogy (such as the tiniest penguin thief), Ragen’s humanity and humor shine through her powerful words.

While we will miss Ragen’s contributions to FFFs, we wish her the best in her professional endeavors and look forward to the contributions she will continue making to Size Acceptance.

As such, we have archived her work and added her to the Hall of FFFFame, along with Rachelle (Statistical Freak/No Celery Please).

Thank you, Ragen, for all that you have shared with us, and best of luck on the next phase of your journey!

Of course Dr. Deah, although I have a hunch that you are a formidable underpants boss.
