Last week I received an email that said a new billboard had sprung up in Atlanta, but after contacting Clear Channel, the company the owns the billboard, I have learned three things: this billboard has been in place since January; Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) has a contract for this site until May; and next week they are planning to replace the current billboard with new “creative.”
To verify that this billboard isn’t new, I contacted a company located near the intersection and the woman I spoke with confirmed that it has been there for “several months.” So, I have asked my contact who noticed this billboard to keep an eye out for the next version and to take photos for us to see the new version.
What will the new billboards bring? Who knows, but we can hope that it will be a simple reference to CHOA and not another hair-brained attempt at shaming families into action.
