People are different.

(The correct response to that statement is “Der-hay, dumbass.”)

People interested in Fat Acceptance are no different. And although our diversity may make appeasing all parties difficult, it does not mean that meeting each person’s unique Fat Acceptance needs is impossible.

Given the proper tools, a Fat Acceptance blog can cover such triggering topics as dieting from a technical or personal viewpoint, and those who aren’t comfortable with the subject can easily bypass it. For each of the ratings below, readers will be able to choose the subjects that he or she is comfortable reading.

However, if you are interested in one of these subjects, such as eating disorders, you may click on the rating button to jump to our extensive archives.

OMG, I love this system, especially because in acknowledges (at last) that we have different priorities. I’ve been out of the fat “culture” for about 7 years (burned out, and couldn’t find anywhere I fit in), but you actually have managed to present people whom I actually resemble. I may need to sit down for a minute…

Thanks Kell. That was one of the first things we did here because we weren’t allowed to talk about the subjects we wanted to on the fatosphere. So, we thought it would be best to leave it up to you to self-regulate what you do and don’t want to read. I hope we can give you a new place to call home. 🙂
